A digital interview is an interview you can take in your own time using your phone, tablet or computer. This means you can complete your interview at a time that is convenient for you.
We’ve partnered with HireVue to conduct your digital interview, which involves watching video questions and recording your answers.
The process is really easy – simply open the link* and follow the instructions on screen. You’ll be given hints and tips about what to do and be able to complete unlimited practice questions before you start. We advise on allowing at least 10 minutes for this, to familiarise yourself with the platform and to try some practice questions.
For the interview, you’ll be asked 8-12 pre-recorded clinical competency questions (depending on your specialism) and it will take you between 20-30 minutes to answer them. For question one, you’ll need to have your passport or driving licence to hand as you’ll be asked to hold your photo ID up to the camera for 20 seconds. We need to see this to ensure we meet our employer guidelines.
You’ll have three minutes to answer each question and you get two attempts at answering each question. This means if you aren’t happy with your first answer you can re-record it. If you prefer not to watch yourself while you record, you can hide your video.
Your answers will be reviewed by a member of our clinical team to assess your clinical competency and you’ll hear back within 48 hours. Please don’t feel shy, your video won’t be shared with people outside of the clinical team.
*iPhone and iPad users will need to download the HireVue app.
